Ever since the 7th grade, I've known that I wanted to pursue a creative career. Drawing and imagining have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Having originated from the North, I have been fortunate to witness breathtaking mountain views and snowy landscapesHowever, I truly grew up in a rural, suburban area in the South with vast expanses and many trees. These diverse environments have significantly influenced my artistic vision, as the contrast between the imposing, rugged beauty of the North and the serene, lush landscapes of the South has provided me with a rich tapestry of inspiration.

I often go by doodlelyn, a pseudonym I’ve been using since middle school when I jokingly combined my name with the word doodle to make a pun that sounded vaguely like doodling, which I tend to do a lot in my free time!

My senior year of high school I got offered to do the illustrations for a children’s book by a local author, Kelli Halstead, for her granddaughter Brynlee (who painted the cover).
It was my first time working in a professional setting with a client and solidified my dream to work in a creative field and now I’m taking that interest a step further with my comic style stories!
